Name: Amber Starr
Nicknames: Am, Ame (Amy), Star
Role: Etcetera
Age/Year: 26
Tour Date: three years
Home Town: Chattanooga, Tennessee
Appearance: Amber is on the short side, 5'4", and a muscley 125 lbs. She has red hair and a sharp nose. Her eyes are hazel. Amber likes doing fun things with her appearance. Changing it enough to be entertained, but always keeping parts of her original look. Highlighting her hair, trying new styles of clothes and makeup, new piercings in strange places. She has a bellybutton piercing, a stud in her eyebrow, two holes in each ear plus one cartilage piercing. Her next plan is the side of her nose. (She puts her foot down at her tongue.) She takes all rings out for performances.
Bold is definitely and word to describe her appearance. Ame is big hoops, bright colors, and crazy patterns. She almost always wears boots. Electric blue eyeshadow, winegloss mascara, or lime eyeliner, Am believes in making her eyes stand out! She doesn't care what she wears. Designer brands or some outfit grabbed at Wal-Mart. Whatever she wears, it must be individual and bold.
Celeb Appearance: Rachel Hurd Wood
Personality: Amber likes to think big and talk big. She often exaggerates or leaves out crucial details in her stories. Ame has lots of enthusiasm and power to carry out her crazy plans. Getting up at two in the morning to walk down Westminster bridge with her tour pals, singing "Mistoffelees" at the tops of her and wearing nightgowns and masks. Amber is very capable of charming people, and convincing them to do things they might not otherwise. "Peer pressure alert!" She's very sweet and loves human contact. She also loves relationships. She's not exactly faithful. She's extremely flirtatious and outgoing. Ame likes being in charge and making the decisions among her friends.
Amber doesn't mind having a small part in Cats. She tells her friends, "Well, I've had the Lady of the Lake and the Narrator, I want to relax with Etcetera." Being with the tour for so long, she's absorbed the role. Amber now embodies the calico kitten and finds that their personalities have merged. She puts parts of herself into her performance. Adding a cheeky grin and a wink when she was with one of the toms onstage. Finding herself blushing and giggling when meeting a guy offstage.

History: Amber was born and raised, for 18 years, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Had she been born three centuries before, she'd have been shunned for being illegitimate. Now however, her birth was viewed by her friends as classy. Lord knows why. Because this it was the South and they had normal fundamentalist conservative Christian parents without the claim of anything exciting to their names. So, Amber grew up in a bit of a spotlight. Her first taste, it left her begging for more. Left alone at home most afternoons, Amber entertained herself by dancing and singing around the house. The songs she learned off of the rap station on the radio, the dances from the most popular music videos on YouTube. Eventually, she begged her mom to send her somewhere where she could take dance classes. Hip-hop, jazz, maybe even modern. So, Amber (seven of eight years old) began classes at Ballet Tennessee. She grew up with the conservatory, taking jazz and modern mostly, but every now and then she did some ballet. She also was in her first musical, Evita.
Amber became part of a 'crowd' at BT. The 'weirder' dancers. After a while, they started partying on the weekends, cruising around town after school. (Chattanooga School For The Arts And Sciences) Amber, like any teenager, wasn't exactly perfect. She had a couple a boyfriends, one from dancer, one from school, and a girlfriend, a girl who played Mary Magdalene in Superstar. You know the drill, a bit of underage drinking, an overnight or two at a "friend's". Her mother didn't really mind what she did. Amber was 15, she expected her to be wild. "You only live once, Mom," Ame'd point out.
Amber went on like this for another year before deciding to really start being serious about being in musicals. She performed Into the Woods at school and did The Beggars Opera on Signal Mountain. After graduating from high school, Am went on to University of Tennessee in Knoxville. (The summer before college she did A Chorus Line in Nashville.) She majored in musical theatre. Forum, Spamalot, and Aspects were the productions that she was in while in college. After graduating, Am tried to get into more musicals, but she hit a hiring freeze. Instead, she went to work in a restaurant in North Carolina. Not exactly what she'd dreamed of. She did find a small town theatre and got a small part in Kiss of the Spider Woman. After the show was over, the director called her and asked if she'd like to get a drink. A few Long Island Iced Teas later and he kissed her. Well, one thing lead to another and they were soon on their way to his apartment.
Four months later, Amber Starr married Matt Bailey in Charleston, North Carolina. Then, he was off to New Jersey to start work on a play written by a friend of his, Elephants In New Mexico. The blushing bride was off on a job search, the restaurant having closed. Via the internet, she discovered an upcoming audition for Dreamcoat in a small London theatre. Amber booked a flight and packed, all the time singing the part of the Narrator. She wanted to show Matt that she really could get a star part, not just a supporting role. The surprising part was that she actually got it. As the show was packed up, one of her friends told her about auditions for a tour of Cats. After four of Webber's shows, Amber had decided that she loved the guy so she headed off to try out. She landed that part of Etcetera without too much disappointment on her side. Ame neglected to say anything about being married on her resume. She hadn't changed her name. She neglected to tell Matt about the tour or about her most recent boyfriend.

Other:
~She's a soprano, not very high
~She gave up drinking in college due to lack of funds.
Keyword: 'Waiting for the Dawn'.
RPG Sample: Amber waltzed down the hall, singing to herself. "Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba. Ba, ba, ba, ba. Ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba, ba! Tracy, when I'm with you, something ya' do bounces me off the ceiling!" Crazy seventies song. Or maybe it was sixteen. Oh well, who cared? Ame flipped her cell phone open and dialed her voice mailbox. Who'd called while she'd rehearsed?
"Hey babe, it's Matt. Just calling to see how you're doing and how the crowds are loving my favorite narrator. Elephants is fabulous, wish you were starring in it. Well, just call me, Ame Hom. Luv ya'!" Am groaned. She should at least tell her husband that she wasn't in Dreamcoat anymore. She wouldn't have to tell him about where she'd been last night. She giggled. Amber couldn't imagine that Matt simply went home to an empty apartment every night. They were separated by an ocean, you couldn't expect them to be completely alone all the time. Amber shoved her key in the lock of her hotel room and pushed the doom open with her hip.
She was so, so happy! Today, with permission from the director and choreographer, she'd made her trapeze routine a bit more interesting. Ame had added a few more interesting moves, but not enough to steal attention from the cats below her. Now, Ame had a bit more excitement in that first dance. Well, apart from seeing how much she could flirt with the stage hand catching her between her first trapeze entrance and her second one. It was always a bit of a thrill as she wondered if they'd missed the cue because she was flirting with him. Ah, what fun!
